Privacy and policy notice

In order to evaluate outcomes for young people that access Aspire to HE activities, we will need to request the following information about your child from their school:

  • Full name
  • School
  • Year group
  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • Home postcode (Needed for statistical reasons only, we will not contact you using this information)
  • Ethnicity
  • Disability status
  • Free school meals
  • Looked after status (if the child is in care)
  • Unique pupil number (UPN)

 

We will manage this data in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018. This information will be stored on the Higher Education Access Tracker (HEAT) a secure higher education server.

HEAT enables us to track your child’s progress and any applications they make to higher education courses.

Your child will not be identifiable in our outcome reporting and the data we collect will only be used for the purposes of tracking their higher education outcomes.

Your child’s data will not be used for marketing purposes and will not be shared with any third parties.

In accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to request a copy of the information we hold regarding your child. Request should be made by email to: B.Tucker@wlv.ac.uk. There may be a small administration fee for responding to your request.
